Our Story

My mother has been diagnosed with sigmoid colon cancer and is currently receiving treatment at Cancer Foundation Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. She has undergone surgery and is now receiving chemotherapy along with oral cancer medication.

Our family is going through an incredibly difficult time, both emotionally and financially. We want to do everything possible to help my mother continue receiving the treatment recommended by her doctors, but we cannot manage the costs alone.

Over the past few years, our family has already faced a serious medical crisis. My father suffered from gangrene in his foot and was unable to work during his illness. We spent our family's savings on his medical treatment and supporting our household while he was unable to earn an income. My father also has diabetes and requires ongoing medication, which adds to our financial burden.

Now, as my mother fights cancer, we find ourselves struggling to afford another major medical expense. Our combined household income is approximately PKR 70,000 per month, and our savings have been exhausted by the difficulties we have already faced.

Although Cancer Foundation Hospital provides partial financial assistance, we still have to arrange approximately PKR 100,000 per treatment session. On top of this, some of my mother's prescribed cancer medicines are not covered by the hospital's welfare assistance.

For our family, these expenses are simply beyond what we can afford on our own.
