Muhammad Usman Ali is an MGS'28 student at LUMS' Suleman Dawood School of Business, admitted through the National Outreach Programme. He worked hard for his place at LUMS and was building a future for himself and his family until everything changed in an instant.
On Ferozpur Road near Packages Mall, Usman was in a serious car accident. He suffered a broken spine, a fractured neck, and broken bones in his left leg and left arm. Almost overnight, he went from attending classes to being unable to sit up, walk, or care for himself.
Thanks to early support from his community, Usman has now been admitted to Naseer Hospital for surgery. But the hospital requires the balance payment to be deposited before the surgery can go ahead and beyond that, he still needs the implants and medicines required to repair his leg and arm, on top of the spinal and neck surgery itself.
His family has already spent what they can. They cannot cover the rest of this alone, and every day of delay makes his recovery harder, not easier.
We are asking for PKR 380,000 to cover his surgery, implants, and medication in full. Every contribution big or small brings Usman closer to walking again. If you're not able to donate, please share this campaign; it may reach someone who can.
Thank you for reading Usman's story, and for anything you're able to give.
