I’m sharing Atika’s story because she really needs some help right now. She comes from a modest family, has one sister, and lost her father. While living in a hostel and struggling with expenses, she took loans with high interest. When she couldn’t repay one loan, she had to borrow again to cover it, and eventually became trapped in a cycle of debt. She has already paid a lot but still owes around 200,000 PKR.
The constant stress has seriously affected her health, and she is now dealing with stress-induced cardiomyopathy and taking medications. She doesn’t have a permanent job and is currently earning through tutoring and teaching at small schools while applying for jobs. She doesn’t want to take another loan; she just wants to clear this debt and start over.
We’re trying to raise 200,000 PKR for her. Even a small contribution or simply sharing this campaign can help. Atika is trying her best to become financially independent—she just needs some support to get out of this cycle.
