My name is Muhammad Arshad, and my family consists of six members: my wife and four children. For the past five years, I have been running a bike as my source of income, but I lost my job after the COVID-19 pandemic. For the last four months, I have been unemployed, and I am unable to cover the rent, my children’s school fees, electricity, water, and food expenses.
My father is currently suffering from a stroke, and his treatment is ongoing. The medical expenses and hospital bills have become a heavy burden. On top of that, I am struggling under a debt of approximately 2.2 million PKR, which I had taken to cover household expenses, my children’s education, and my father’s treatment.
At the moment, we have run out of essential food supplies, and I am unable to provide clothes and school necessities for my children.
