Support an Out-of-School Child – Give Noor a Future
Noor is a bright 5-year-old girl living in a small town in Pakistan. Her family struggles daily to survive — her parents’ income barely covers food and shelter. Without access to school, Noor spends her days on the streets, where she is vulnerable to neglect, exploitation, and the risks of street crime.
GEAR Trust is raising funds to give Noor and other children like her, a chance at education — a safe place to learn, grow, and dream of a better tomorrow. With your support, Noor and others can escape the cycle of poverty and build a protective, hopeful future.
Every contribution counts. Together, we can help Noor trade the streets for a school desk and give her the start in life she deserves.
We are launching a campaign to support 300 out of school children.
About the GEAR School Readiness Program
In Pakistan, an estimated 25 million children are out of school. These children face a higher risk of child labor, early marriage, poverty, and abuse. In many underprivileged areas, families hesitate to send their children to school — not out of neglect, but because they don’t see education as an essential part of their child’s future.
To change this mindset, GEAR Trust launched the School Readiness Program — an initiative designed to prepare both children and families for the journey of education. Through small, single-room schools in underserved communities, we:
Our goal is simple but transformative: to bridge the gap between non-schooling and formal education, giving every child the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Your Support Can Change a Life
Every contribution helps keep a child safe, educated, and hopeful for the future.
Developing an Innovative Teaching Pedagogy
GEAR Preschool Program developed an 8-months program based on the crucial elements of Early Childhood Education (ECE). The curriculum exposed the students to multi-disciplinary, hands-on Exercises of Practical Life (EPL) activities. Students were nurtured through the development of their language & cognitive skills, sensorial learning, artistic creativity, fine & gross motor skill development, socio-emotional well-being, and Character Building, etc.
Admission in Formal Education
A significant milestone in the project is the planned transition of all students to formal education settings. In the following year, students are seamlessly shifted to the nearest Government School or TCF School.
This strategic transition ensures that the students continue their education in established institutions, providing them with continued opportunities for growth and development.
