Every Drop Matters: Help Bring Safe Drinking Water to Muzaffargarh

The Problem

Access to safe drinking water remains a serious challenge for many underserved rural communities in District Muzaffargarh, Punjab, Pakistan.

Vulnerable families, particularly women, children, daily-wage workers, and marginalized households, may face difficulties accessing reliable sources of clean drinking water. Where safe water is unavailable, families can be exposed to waterborne diseases and additional financial and health burdens.

Women and children often bear the responsibility of collecting water, which can consume valuable time that could otherwise be spent on education, livelihoods, and family well-being.

Our Solution

SANJH PAKISTAN is launching the Provision of Safe Drinking Water in District Muzaffargarh campaign to improve access to safe, accessible, and sustainable drinking water for underserved communities.

Through this campaign, we aim to:

Install or rehabilitate community hand pumps and suitable drinking-water facilities.

Conduct water-quality testing to assess drinking-water safety.

Prioritize vulnerable families and communities with inadequate access to safe water.

Promote hygiene awareness and safe water storage practices.

Engage local communities in the maintenance and sustainability of water facilities.

The final selection of water facilities will depend on local needs, groundwater conditions, and water-quality assessments.

Our Fundraising Goal

We aim to raise PKR 500,000 to support safe drinking-water interventions in selected underserved communities of District Muzaffargarh.

Funds will be used for water facilities, necessary installation materials, water-quality testing, community awareness, and related implementation costs.
