Help My Dad Recover From a Stroke
Hi, my name is Austin D'Lima, and I’m fundraising for my dad, who is currently in critical condition at the National Medical Centre in Karachi, Pakistan. He suffered a stroke, which has left the left side of his body paralyzed, and doctors have found a blood clot in his brain.
I lost my mum a few years ago, and since then, my sister and I have been studying and working hard to make ends meet. Our father has been unemployed for some time due to his health, and this recent stroke has made things much worse.
Unfortunately, he does not have health insurance, and the medical expenses — ICU care, hospital bills, MRI scans, and ongoing treatment — are far beyond what we can afford. We’ve already used all our savings to admit him and begin emergency care, but we’ve reached a point where we can’t continue without help.
We’re turning to our community for support. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward my dad’s treatment and recovery. Your generosity can help him receive the care he needs and bring him home to us.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others who might be able to help.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more than words can express.
With gratitude,
Austin & Annette D'Lima

Update
We’re grateful to share another positive update on my dad’s recovery. He has now started walking on his own without support. There is only slight weakness while walking, mainly due to being out of practice after a long period of rest.
He requires minimal assistance when getting up from a lying or sitting position. His left hand continues to gain movement, with very little stiffness now, and he is able to use his right hand to eat independently. His appetite is slowly improving as well.
These improvements mean a lot to us and show how far he has come. Thank you to everyone for your continued prayers, support, and encouragement throughout his recovery. 🙏

Update
🌟 Update as of December 23rd, 2025
We’re thankful to share that my dad has improved a lot and come a long way since his stroke. He has started to walk much better with very little support, and his vitals are all normal. His blood sugar is well maintained, blood pressure is stable, and his energy levels are back and much better compared to the initial stage after the stroke.
His left arm still experiences stiffness from time to time, but daily physiotherapy is ongoing and helping steadily.
We’re hopeful that with continued care and therapy, dad will recover completely soon.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support, kindness, and prayers. We truly couldn’t have come this far without you. 🙏
