In 2017, I went from Pakistan to Dubai in search of a job. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. I couldn’t find a job, but a friend took me into his company. After a few months, he went back to Pakistan, promising to return and change my visa status — but sadly, he never came back. He passed away.
After that, life became very difficult. I spent months struggling and wandering the streets, not knowing what to do. Then, I met some people from my own country who encouraged me and told me not to lose hope. Since my visa couldn’t be changed, I became illegal (overstayed), and without a valid company or proper documents, it was impossible to get a good job. Eventually, I managed to find some work, but life was still extremely hard.
Then one day, a girl came into my life. She gave me courage and told me, “You are no less than anyone. You can do anything.” For the first time in a long while, I felt hope again — someone actually believed in me. We got married, and I brought her to Dubai. We started living a happy life together.
But then tragedy struck again. I was involved in a road accident where someone lost their life — and I didn’t have a driving license. I was sent to jail, and the case went to court. After three months, I was granted bail. By that time, my wife had already returned to Pakistan. When I was released, I called her back, and we resumed our life together, happy once again.
However, in 2022, the case reopened. The family of the man who had died filed a claim for blood money. Since I didn’t have the money they demanded, I was sent back to jail. It was one of the hardest times of my life.
But my wife didn’t give up on me. She stood by my side, even when she was all alone in Dubai. She started working, fought my case, and after five long months, she managed to get me released and deported back to Pakistan.
If it weren’t for her, I might still be sitting in that jail today.
I returned to Pakistan, and soon after my wife also left her job and came back. Our marriage was for love, and now both our families have turned against us — they want to separate us. My wife’s life is still at risk from members of her family, and my own family has cut all ties with me.
I need help so I can take my wife to another country and build a safe life with the woman who stood by me through the hardest times. I cannot abandon her. I’m asking everyone for help — this is a matter of someone’s safety and life.
