I sat on the worn-out couch, staring blankly at the stack of unpaid bills in front of me. The scorching summer heat in Bahawalpur was suffocating, and the thought of not being able to pay the electricity bill was daunting. My mother's health had taken a turn for the worse, and I desperately needed medicine to ease her pain.
I thought of all the times I had to choose between paying the bills or buying groceries. The struggle was real, and I felt like I was drowning in a sea of uncertainty. I wished someone would lend a helping hand, just to get me through this tough phase.
As I looked out the window, I saw the sun setting over the Cholistan Desert, casting a golden glow over the city. I felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, someone would hear my plea and come to my aid. I sent out a silent prayer, hoping that someone would see my struggle and offer a helping hand. The electricity bill was due soon, and my mother's medicine couldn't wait. I just needed a little help to get back on my feet.
