Floodwaters have left communities in South Punjab cut off from essential services, markets, schools, health facilities, and neighboring villages. Roads and local access routes have been severely damaged, with sections washed away and surrounded by stagnant floodwater, as shown in the attached photograph.
For families living in these flood-affected areas, a damaged road is much more than an infrastructure problem—it can become a barrier to survival and recovery. When roads are destroyed, people struggle to reach hospitals, children face difficulties getting to school, farmers cannot transport their crops, and emergency assistance becomes much harder to deliver.
SANJH Pakistan is launching this campaign to help restore damaged roads and community access routes in flood-affected areas. Our goal is to support the rehabilitation of critical pathways by removing debris, filling damaged sections, strengthening road surfaces, and restoring safe access wherever resources allow.
Every contribution can help bring a community one step closer to recovery. Restoring a road means:
The families affected by flooding have already lost homes, belongings, livelihoods, and months of normal life. They should not remain isolated because their roads have been washed away.
