Dear kind-hearted people,

My name is Wahab Munir, and today I am reaching out as a father asking for help for my son, Zaviyan Khan.

Some time ago, we created a fundraising campaign hoping to collect enough support for Zaviyan’s treatment. We received kindness and donations, and we remain deeply thankful to everyone who helped. But sadly, the campaign reached only around 2% of its goal and we could not gather enough funds to cover the treatment and future medical needs.

Even with financial difficulties, we continued moving forward and managed to complete Zaviyan’s surgeries.

But our journey is not over.

Zaviyan was born with congenital glaucoma and has already gone through multiple eye surgeries. The surgeries have helped, but doctors have told us that this treatment is long-term and may continue for many years. Right now, regular follow-ups have started and there is also a possibility that in the future Zaviyan may require a cornea transplant, which is a very expensive procedure.

Every month, we travel from Swat to Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital in Rawalpindi for checkups and treatment. Each visit costs us around PKR 30,000 including travel, stay, medicines, tests, and follow-up expenses.

At the same time, I am also facing my own health struggles. I underwent open-heart surgery and currently I am jobless. Because of my condition and financial situation, I am no longer able to manage these growing expenses alone.

As a father, I only want to give my child a chance to protect his eyesight and continue his treatment without interruption.

زویان خان کی بینائی اور مستقبل بچانے میں ہماری مدد کریں

ہمارا سفر ابھی ختم نہیں ہوا…

السلام علیکم،

میں وہاب منیر ہوں، ایک باپ جو آج اپنے بیٹے زویان خان کے لیے آپ سب سے مدد کی اپیل کر رہا ہے۔

کچھ عرصہ پہلے ہم نے زویان کے علاج کے لیے ایک ڈونیشن کمپین شروع کی تھی۔ بہت سے لوگوں نے ہمارا ساتھ دیا، دعائیں دیں اور چند عطیات بھی موصول ہوئے، جس کے لیے ہم دل سے شکر گزار ہیں۔ لیکن بدقسمتی سے ہماری کمپین اپنے مقصد کا صرف تقریباً 2٪ ہی مکمل کر سکی، اور ہم علاج اور آنے والے اخراجات کے لیے مطلوبہ رقم جمع نہ کر سکے۔

پھر بھی ہم نے ہمت نہیں ہاری اور بڑی مشکل سے زویان کی سرجریز مکمل کروائیں۔

لیکن ہماری اصل آزمائش ابھی ختم نہیں ہوئی۔

زویان پیدائشی آنکھوں کی بیماری (Congenital Glaucoma) کا شکار ہے۔ اس کی متعدد سرجریز ہو چکی ہیں لیکن ڈاکٹرز کے مطابق اس کا علاج ایک لمبا سفر ہے جو کئی سال تک جاری رہ سکتا ہے۔ اب مستقل فالو اپس شروع ہو چکے ہیں اور مستقبل میں زویان کو Cornea Transplant کی بھی ضرورت پڑ سکتی ہے جو ایک بہت مہنگا علاج ہے۔

ہم ہر مہینے زویان کو لے کر سوات سے راولپنڈی Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital جاتے ہیں تاکہ اس کے چیک اپ، ٹیسٹ اور علاج جاری رہ سکیں۔ ایک فالو اپ پر اوسطاً تقریباً 30 ہزار روپے خرچ آ جاتا ہے، جس میں سفر، رہائش، دوائیاں اور دیگر اخراجات شامل ہوتے ہیں۔

میری اپنی صحت بھی اس وقت کمزور ہے۔ میری اوپن ہارٹ سرجری ہو چکی ہے اور اس وقت میں بے روزگار ہوں۔ ان حالات میں میرے لیے اکیلے یہ اخراجات برداشت کرنا ممکن نہیں رہا۔

ایک باپ ہونے کے ناطے میری صرف ایک خواہش ہے کہ میرے بچے کی بینائی محفوظ رہے اور اس کا علاج پیسوں کی وجہ سے نہ رکے۔
