Help Zaheer Fight for His Life Again
Zaheer-ud-Din, 26, from Village Paras, Tehsil Balakot, Pakistan, comes from a poor family of seven siblings. His family lost their home and his father's small repair shop in the devastating 2005 earthquake and has struggled financially ever since.
In 2019, Zaheer suffered repeated seizures and a severe cardiac emergency. His heart became critically weak, and he had to be placed on a ventilator. Doctors urgently advised a pacemaker. His family could not afford the PKR 1.2 million device, but after a fundraising effort, his maternal uncle managed to collect the required amount, and the pacemaker was successfully implanted.
The treatment gave Zaheer a new chance at life. He later got married and began rebuilding his future.
Sadly, since early 2026, Zaheer's heart condition has deteriorated again. His heart muscle has become severely weak, causing serious complications including fluid accumulation in his abdomen. His doctors have now advised CRT-D treatment, which is urgently required to support his heart function.
The estimated cost of the CRT-D device and procedure is approximately PKR 3–4 million, which his family simply cannot afford.
We are appealing to kind-hearted people, Zakat donors, charities and philanthropists to help Zaheer receive this life-saving treatment.
