In many parts of Pakistan, access to basic healthcare is still a privilege rather than a right. For thousands of families living in and around Ravi Rayon, Muridke, medical facilities are limited, and diagnostic services are often beyond their financial reach.
Every day, mothers, children, and elderly patients walk into the healthcare facility operated by Saddique Fatima Foundation, hoping for relief, treatment, and dignity. Many of them come from extremely humble backgrounds. Some travel miles just to see a doctor. Some come after delaying treatment because they simply could not afford medical tests.
Among these patients are expectant mothers—women carrying the hope of a new life.
For them, an ultrasound examination is not just a medical procedure.
It is a lifeline.
An ultrasound helps doctors monitor the health of both mother and baby. It detects complications early, prevents life-threatening risks, and ensures safe pregnancies. Without this critical diagnostic tool, doctors are forced to rely only on symptoms and guesswork.
Sadly, this is the reality faced by many underserved communities.
At Saddique Fatima Foundation, we believe that no mother should risk her life simply because she cannot afford a diagnostic test.
For more than 14 years, our foundation has been committed to serving humanity with compassion and dignity. Through our healthcare initiatives, we have provided free consultations, free medicines, and free medical services to thousands of deserving patients.
In the past year alone:
• More than 25,000 patients received free medical checkups
• Medicines worth over 1.5 million rupees were distributed free of cost
• Over 3,000 patients received free eyeglasses
These numbers represent more than statistics.
They represent human lives.
They represent hope restored, pain relieved, and dignity preserved.
Yet despite these efforts, one critical need remains.
Our healthcare facility currently does not have an ultrasound machine.
Every week, pregnant women visit our clinic needing ultrasound diagnostics. Doctors must refer them to private diagnostic centers where the cost of a single ultrasound test can be 3,000 to 6,000 rupees or even more.
For families struggling to buy food, this amount is simply impossible.
Many mothers delay or skip their ultrasound scans completely.
And sometimes, this delay leads to serious complications that could have been prevented.
This is why Saddique Fatima Foundation has launched an Urgent Appeal.
We are raising funds to purchase a medical ultrasound machine for our healthcare facility so that we can provide free diagnostic services to deserving patients, especially pregnant mothers.
The estimated cost of this machine is PKR 800,000.
For some, this may seem like a large amount.
But when we think about the lives it will protect, the children it will help bring safely into this world, and the families it will comfort, this machine becomes more than equipment.
It becomes a source of life, hope, and mercy.
Imagine a mother walking into our clinic worried about her unborn child.
Instead of sending her away to an expensive lab, we can immediately perform the ultrasound free of cost.
Within minutes, the doctor can see the baby's heartbeat, monitor development, and detect any complications.
Your contribution will not only purchase a machine.
It will save lives for years to come.
An ultrasound machine can serve thousands of patients every year. Each scan can help doctors diagnose problems early and provide the right treatment at the right time.
In Islamic teachings, saving a life is considered one of the greatest acts of charity.
The Holy Qur’an reminds us:
“Whoever saves a life, it is as if he has saved all of mankind.”
You may choose to sponsor the entire machine, contribute partially, or encourage others within your network to participate.
Together, we can make this dream a reality.
Together, we can ensure that no mother is forced to risk her life simply because she cannot afford an ultrasound test.
