Urgent: Save Waseela, 11-Year-Old With Serious Illness

We are seeking urgent medical help and financial support for Waseela, an 11-year-old girl suffering from a rare and life-threatening illness.

Waseela was diagnosed at the age of 7 with hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia, a condition that causes dangerously low blood sugar. One of her siblings passed away at the age of 15 due to the same disease.

Since diagnosis, her life has been a constant medical struggle.

At age 8, she had her first surgery (partial pancreatectomy).
Her condition did not improve. She continued to suffer from severe low blood sugar and seizures.

At age 9, she underwent a second surgery (near-total pancreatectomy).
After surgery, she developed seizures and serious infections.

Waseela cannot control her blood sugar with food or medicine alone.
She depends on IV glucose through central and PICC lines to stay alive.

Over the years, she suffered multiple line infections, including MRSA, MRSE, and Candida. Some infections led to sepsis and emergency hospital stays.

During long treatment, she also developed Hepatitis C. She completed treatment, but the virus returned and she is still under medication.

Her kidneys were affected during illness but later recovered.

In 2019, scans showed abnormal tissue near the pancreas. A biopsy found abnormal cell clusters.

Today, the situation is critical.

Doctors have informed us that no more IV lines can be placed. All central and peripheral access options are exhausted. Her treatment has reached a dead end.

She is currently on multiple medications, including insulin-control drugs, seizure medicines, steroids, antiviral treatment, and continuous glucose infusions.

Her parents live in a rented house. Medical expenses over many years have destroyed the family financially. They can no longer manage treatment costs.

Asking for help is painful. Going from door to door is not easy. But there is no other choice when a child’s life is at risk.

We humbly request:

1. Financial help for continued treatment
2. Medical organizations willing to review or take her case
3. Any hospital or charity that can examine and support her care

If an organization can take responsibility for her treatment, it would be a great relief for the family.
